What is MCF?

Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) is a fast, reliable and cost competitive e-commerce fulfillment option for any of your sales channels. With MCF, you can experience the below features:
  • You can utilize Amazon’s logistics network to fulfill orders from any sales channel, whether you customer orders through your website, or any other sales channel.
  • You can utilize your existing FBA inventory to fulfill MCF orders.
  • You can choose to manage your entire business from a single inventory source.
  • You can provide your customers deliveries 7 days a week, through Standard (3-5 days) or Expedited (1-2 days) ship options. (Expedited ship option is currently unavailable.)
  • You can manage seasonal spikes without additional resources, as you can fulfill your orders through Amazon.

Note:

* MCF can be used to process orders only for customers whose delivery location is in India.
* MCF Order needs to be a pre-paid order. Amazon will not be able to collect any payment from the customer upon delivery.
How does MCF work?
  • Send your inventory to Amazon fulfillment centres
  • Amazon will store your inventory in FCs. You still own your inventory and pay storage fees for items stored
  • Customer views and purchases your products on your website and other sales channels
  • You can submit your orders to us via seller central through the simple order form or bulk file upload
  • Amazon will pick, pack and ship your orders directly to customers. Amazon provides the shipping tracking information.
You handle customer returns on your own and as per your own policies
How to create orders?
You can choose to use MCF to fulfill the orders you have received MCF from outside of Amazon, including your own website. You can create MCF orders / fulfilment requests through our easy to use quick order form , or bulk order upload.
A quick order form allows you to place a single ship order or hold order against available FBA inventory by entering the customer’s shipping address, items, invoicing details and shipping speed. Multi-Channel Fulfillment bulk orders allow you to create and cancel multiple orders at once by uploading a completed template.

You can view all your shipped units by navigating to Seller central > Reports > Fulfillment By Amazon > Order section: Customer shipment sales report.

If you select Place order, you'll create a ship order that will plan and ship within two business days for Standard speed. Creating a hold order will plan an order and reserve your inventory. By reserving your inventory, you can set aside specific units from your FBA offer for a fixed duration of two weeks.

Note – You can only reserve a maximum of 250 units in a hold order.

Please note: If the “hold order” isn't converted to a “Place order” within two weeks, the order will be canceled. If you decide to confirm the order before the initially communicated expected ship date , the order maybe delivered within the estimated delivery date. If the order is confirmed post the expected ship date, the order will likely be delivered at a later date.
How to share order details with your customers?
What are the Shipping and delivery speeds?
Shipping times are calculated from the time that a fulfillment request is placed to when it is shipped from Amazon Fulfillment Center. Delivery times are calculated from the time that an order is shipped from Amazon Fulfillment Center to when it is delivered to the customer. Tracking information is available as soon as an order is shipped.
The shipping and delivery times in the table below apply only for MCF orders. These shipping and delivery timelines apply only for shipping within India.

How to track your MCF orders?
Once you have successfully placed an MCF order, Amazon will process your request and provide you updates on the order detail page.
Once your order has been dispatched from the FC, the package can be tracked through:
  • Order detail page: You can view/track shipments through Seller Central by, going to Manage Orders > search: Custom order ID / Amazon order ID, and then navigating to the ‘Shipments’ tab on the order details page.
  • Order tracking portal: Alternatively, you or the customer can view/track shipments through the ‘swiship’ web portal by inputting the tracking ID (found on the Order detail page).
  • Notification: Amazon will also notify you, and the customer by sending notifications to their email address (as provided during order creation) once an order is shipped.
How to cancel an MCF order?
To cancel an order, click Cancel on the order details page. If the cancel button doesn’t appear as an option, contact us. We'll work to cancel it for you but can't guarantee successful cancellation, as there maybe instances where the units may already be in the process of dispatch or already dispatched.
You aren't charged for MCF orders that are successfully canceled before shipping. If some items in an order have shipped, charges for the shipped items will apply.
